Project feasibility

Successful project delivery is at the heart of all we do, starting at the very earliest stages of a project.

We draw upon our expertise in the financial aspects of project development combined with our technical and environmental expertise to reduce development and planning risks to help ensure that you viable project.

Our team applies a variety of engineering disciplines and experience to assess the technical feasibility of any project. The feasibility reports determine the technical feasibility of progressing with construction which can then be used to assist in accessing finance.

Site screening is often the first stage of the feasibility process, to determine the resource matrix at any specific site with a high degree of accuracy and advise on what types of project are possible, and which will yield the best results for your business. Once an optimal site is identified, key technical, environmental and planning constraints will be investigated to assess any potential negative impact on successful development.

Some of the constraints typically reviewed include:

  • Local climate
  • Available area and land use
  • Accessibility
  • Terrain and topography
  • Geotechnical
  • Grid connection
  • Water availability

Suitable technologies can then be recommended including custom or hybrid solutions which are optimised for the site location. An initial layout design can be provided.

Once an indicative design has been finalised, we will give a prediction of the expected impact on production & yield, along with an uncertainty analysis which will feed into a simple or detailed financial model and allow a final decision to be made on whether to proceed with implementation.
